Letter from the Editor

Dear ABCDlady Readers:

There’s something about being up late that makes you feel like time stands still. You can do whatever you want. There isn’t a place you have to be; no one is going to call. So you’re free, alone with your thoughts and whatever you want to do at that moment. This year there have been many late nights getting ABCDlady out the door every month. We take great pride in our one year anniversary! I’d like to thank the many, many people that have helped make all this possible month after month. Please click here for a personal set of thank you’s.

In our one year anniversary edition, we meet fashion designer Payal Singhal and learn about her road to becoming a fashion designer. We also meet some bloggers that are changing the face of Tibet. Nermeen then tells the story of her trips to Pakistan and trying to measure up to her seemingly perfect cousins.

Our parenting expert follows up on last month’s discussion on fighting on front of the kids. She discusses how to fight in a healthy way. Keeping with the theme of making healthy life choices, we discuss how to step out of your comfort zone. Changing your routine can give you a boost of creativity, energy and enthusiasm and you can approach the same tasks in a completely new way.

In our approach to fall, we also decided to provide some South Asian comfort foods for those evenings when you just want to eat in. Next, our love and sex expert provides some great advice on getting over your ex and discusses virginity. And finally, our Desi Diva provides some tips on haircuts that match your face.

Enjoy!

Sincerely,

Navdeep Kathuria
