Dear ABCDlady Readers,
Ever notice how South Asians stare at one another,
often without any acknowledgment, when passing each other on the
street? I suspect we do this because we secretly want to know more
about the other person. This month at ABCDlady, we get into the
lives of those people across the street:
- We come across Lakshmi and Shalin and many others,
who are a part of South
Asian Greek life. We learn about South Asian sororities and
fraternities and what they stand for.
- We profile Anita Gupta, a successful Desi who co-founded the
company Techbooks and began outsourcing before outsourcing became
a buzz word.
- We walk in the shoes of Vidya, who discusses how she developed
her political consciousness, and we learn her views on key political
leaders.
