| Dear ABCDlady Readers, It’s the first Monday of April, and yet again, we have an amazing issue for you. First, let me tell you about our feature this month. We received an email from a reader whose father recently passed. She was left with so many unanswered questions about religion, spirituality and faith. Frustrated with the answers her temple, friends and family were able to provide, she asked if we knew of resources for her. We thought there would likely be others who have the same concerns, so we took those questions to ABCDlady’s resident psychiatrist and have provided an article on coping with death from a Hindu perspective. We hope this reader and others benefit from the article. On a lighter topic, just as ABCDlady brought you Dev Patel of Slumdog Millionaire months in advance, we’ve got a new person you need to be on the look-out for: Sunny Jain of Red Baraat. What started as a performance for his own baraat (wedding procession in which the groom’s family goes to the bride’s home), this eclectic band is on its way up, from performances at NYC’s fashion week to music festivals galore. Looking for a way to spice up leftovers? Chole burgers anyone? How about some raita sauce to go with it? Our Cuisine expert conjured some creative new recipes for you. Worried about overeating? We explore portion distortion at restaurants and at home and give you some tips to avoid that dreaded feeling of having eaten too much. South Asians products are showing up more and more in the beauty market. This month, our Desi Diva explores the South Asian brands and gives you a best-of list. This month, we meet Pria, who never felt like she fit in while growing up, and felt that same theme in her marriages. Learn how she has come to grips with her feelings. |

| We also meet a Desi wondering if there are any decent men left and someone else worried her sister’s husband is cheating on her. Check out our Love and Sex expert’s advice for both. Trying to teach your child the value of money? We provide you with a ground-up approach, starting with what you can do for your toddler all the way up until the time your child is a teenager. Don’t forget to check out our home page for our new model of the month. We’re also looking for bloggers and additional contributors (more info is on the home page). Click here to enter. Thanks! Sincerely,
Navdeep Kathuria
