| Dear ABCDlady Readers, I can still remember that pure feeling of elation when the final bell rang at elementary school, indicating the summer had begun. A summer of soccer, sleepovers and excessive TV-watching was ahead. Since we know you’re probably making your own (more adult) summer plans, we thought we’d prep you with some reading material to get you in gear. Thinking about sending the kids to camp this summer? We have some excellent information to help you pick a camp. Every year at this time, I change my closet around to clear out my winter clothes. Did you know that the clutter in your closet could also be contributing to a cluttered mind? This month, we talk about the best ways to de-clutter. Anyone heading to the beach? We want to send you for a makeover. First, our resident Desi body builder/fitness model puts you on a fitness plan to have you looking your best in your swimsuit. Next, our Desi Diva gives you new swimsuit trends to choose from. And what trip doesn’t involve reading material? In this month’s issue: - Check out the latest Love and Sex woes from our readers. We meet someone whose husband is having an online affair and a person having trouble with her new live-in boyfriend. - We meet up-and-coming star, Reena Dutt. Reena is the co-producer and star of a new web series, The Real Girl's Guide to Everything Else, a show that goes beyond the stereotypical issue that diverse women face. By introducing diversity on this level, Reena and her co-producers are starting a new trend in “normalizing what once was 'foreign.'” Read on to learn more. |

| - Contemplating a move to India? We have a comprehensive survival guide for you—from making your decision to selecting a place to live, finding a job and navigating through the streets. - In honor of Mother’s Day coming up on May 9th, we have a tribute to one mother. Check out Kanika Chadda’s personal reflection on her mother’s influence on the world around her. - Is it just me, or do appetizers sometimes seem more mouth-watering than the actual meal? Our Cuisine expert thinks so too, so her article this month is on appetizers. Check out her recipe for tava paneer and sweet and spicy grapefruit. Regardless of how you decide to spend it, we hope you enjoy your summer. Sincerely,
Navdeep Kathuria
